About Jenelle Brewer Consulting Inc. (JBCINC)


Jenelle Brewer Consulting Inc. is an Indigenous-owned and operated business. Initially, operating as a sole proprietorship in 2020 when she realized there were so many communities in need of immediate capacity. While many organizations support Indigenous communities, there is a need for more Indigenous people to support our communities. People who understand the complexities of Indigenous communities that are based on family structures and which territory each community belongs to.

Since its incorporation in 2021, JBCINC has supported communities in the following capacities:

  • Community Disaster Recovery Management

  • Research and Planning

  • Grant Writing

  • Policy Development

About Jenelle Brewer


Jenelle Brewer, a mother of two amazing children, was born in Vernon BC, in the Syilx (Okanagan) territory. She is the granddaughter of Ernest Brewer and Emily Cheko, and Arthur and Laura Green, and the daughter of William and Peggy Brewer. She was raised with her father’s family in the Head of the Lake area of Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB) IR No.1. Her mother moved to the reserve from Prince Edward Island as a teacher, where she met William and started a family.  

Since 2014, Jenelle has served various Indigenous communities in the following capacities: community disaster recovery management, interim management, economic development, business development, research and planning, grant writing and policy development. 

With seven years of experience in project management, Jenelle decided to enrol in the Master’s Certificate in Project Management at the University of Victoria completing the program in 2023. Jenelle spent two terms on Band Council prior to studying business at the Okanagan College where she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management at the Okanagan College. 

When Jenelle is not hard at work, you will find her spending time with family or volunteering in the community.
